About The Stone Roses
The Stone Roses were an influential band from Manchester, England, who were most active from the mid-80s until the early 90s. Conisting of four members -Ian Brown (lead vocals), John Squire (guitar and backing vocals) Mani (real name Gary Mounfield, bass) and Reni (real name Alan Wren, drums).

Meshing '60s-styled guitar pop with an understated '80s dance beat, the Stone Roses defined the British guitar pop scene of the late '80s and early '90s. After their eponymous 1989 debut album became an English sensation, countless other groups in the same vein became popular, including the Charlatans UK, Inspiral Carpets, and Happy Mondays. However, the band was never able to capitalize on the promise of their first album, waiting five years before they released their second record and slowly disintegrating in the year and half after its release, finally disbanding completely in 1996.

About the Webmistress
Renee is the owner of this fanlisting, and runs it from her site make-some-noise.net. She was first turned on to The Stone Roses via Pete Yorn's cover of "She Bangs the Drums". She once got stoned backstage with Ian Brown at one of his concerts, and has the signed 7-inch of "She Bangs the Drums" to prove it.
